Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data WaySay collects when you use the app, how it's used, and the rights you have over it. WaySay shows no ads and never sells your personal data.
Data we collect
Account information: when you sign in with Apple or Google, your name and email address are received through Firebase Authentication.
Learning data: the cities you start and complete, your card progress, favourited cards and unlocked packs are stored against your account in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore).
Purchase information: purchases are processed by the Apple App Store and RevenueCat. Your payment card details never reach us; we only keep a verification record of the purchase.
Preferences: app language, chosen avatar and, optionally, your country of citizenship — used solely to show consulate and emergency information for the city you're visiting.
Offline content: downloaded city packs are stored only on your device.
Data we do not collect
We do not collect or track your location. We do not use advertising identifiers. We do not access your contacts, photos or other device content.
How we use data
We use your data only to: create your account and manage your session; sync learning progress across your devices; verify and restore purchases; show content matching your language and country; and respond to support requests.
Third-party services
The app relies on the following providers, and your data may be processed on their infrastructure:
- •Google Firebase (authentication and database) — Google's Privacy Policy applies.
- •RevenueCat (purchase management) — RevenueCat's Privacy Policy applies.
- •Apple App Store (payments) — Apple's Privacy Policy applies.
These providers process data on our behalf and under our instructions.
Retention and deletion
Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. Using "Delete Account" on the Profile page permanently deletes your account and all data linked to it (progress, favourites, purchase records). You can remove offline content from your device at any time via Profile → Downloads.
Your rights
Under applicable data protection law (including GDPR where it applies, and KVKK in Türkiye), you have the right to access, correct, delete and object to the processing of your data. Contact us at the address below to exercise these rights.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If we become aware of such data, it will be deleted.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced in the app. The current version is always available on this page.
